A Coruña NSC 2026

Next year, EYP Spain will gather young voices from across the country and Europe in the vibrant coastal city of A Coruña. For several days, delegates will dive into debates, teamwork, and cultural exchange shaping ideas for the future of Europe ,

A Session Beyond Horizons

Under the proposed theme “Beyond Horizons: Into New Waters”, A Coruña 2026 aims to symbolize innovation, inclusivity, and the courage to step into new spaces. More than just a national event, this NSC is envisioned as a journey that reflects the values of EYP Spain: empowering young people to think critically, collaborate, and shape the future of Europe together.

The choice of A Coruña is significant. Known for its maritime spirit and openness, the city represents both tradition and new possibilities — an ideal setting for a session designed to explore fresh perspectives and foster a renewed sense of community within EYP Spain.

A Platform for Dialogue and Participation

The NSC A Coruña 2026 will bring together around 150 delegates, volunteers, and experts, making it one of the largest national youth events in Spain. Following the EYP’s established model, participants will engage in teambuilding, committee work, and a General Assembly, simulating the parliamentary process of the European Union.

Throughout the session, delegates will:

  • Work in international committees to develop resolutions on key European and global challenges, ranging from sustainability to digital rights.
  • Debate their proposals in a formal General Assembly, sharpening their skills in public speaking, negotiation, and critical thinking.
  • Take part in cultural and social activities, experiencing Galician traditions and building connections that last beyond the event.

A Historic First for Galicia

This will be the first-ever National Selection Conference in Galicia, a region rich in culture and diversity that until now had not hosted an NSC. Organizers hope that A Coruña 2026 will highlight the unique identity of Galicia while connecting young Europeans through debate, learning, and intercultural exchange.

The Head Organisers, Alba Neira, Paula Rapado, and Pablo Tronchoni, bring with them experience, creativity, and enthusiasm. Their proposal emphasizes building a session that is not only well-organized but also people-centered: a conference remembered for the spirit it creates and the legacy it leaves for future sessions.

Empowering Youth Through NSCs

National Selection Conferences (NSCs) are a cornerstone of EYP’s educational model. They not only serve as selection rounds for Spanish delegates who will represent the country at international EYP sessions, but also as powerful experiences of youth empowerment, civic engagement, and intercultural exchange.

The A Coruña NSC 2026 will:

  • Offer young people a unique opportunity to express their views on Europe’s future.
  • Provide training in soft skills such as teamwork, leadership, and resilience.
  • Connect participants with experts, policymakers, and institutions committed to youth engagement.

Words from the Head Organisers

Alba Neira, Paula Rapado, and Pablo Tronchoni, Head Organisers of A Coruña NSC 2026, shared their excitement about the project:

“Organising a National Selection Conference is always a challenge, but for us A Coruña 2026 is much more than that. It is the first time a session of this kind will take place in Galicia, and we want it to be remembered not only for what happens during those days, but for the spirit it creates and the doors it opens. Our vision is to go beyond the usual formulas and to build a session that feels innovative, inclusive, and meaningful for everyone involved.”

Looking Ahead

While details are still being shaped, the vision for A Coruña 2026 is clear:

  • To offer participants an unforgettable educational and cultural experience.
  • To innovate in the way National Sessions are designed, with a focus on inclusivity, sustainability, and collaboration.
  • To ensure that this milestone event strengthens both EYP Spain’s impact and the bonds within its community.
  • As preparations continue, A Coruña 2026 promises to be more than just another conference. It is an invitation to go further, to embrace change, and to set sail towards new waters together.

More information will be released in the coming months, including the official theme, programme, and partners.
