University Forum UPF

European Youth Parliament España is proud to present its first University Forum, a 3 day session taking place at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in the heart of Barcelona from 13 to 15 November of 2026.

Head Organisers

Joan Tura & Kim Martínez de Lejarza

The University Forum is a new initiative designed to bring European youth engagement directly into university life. It offers students the opportunity to explore the European and global issues shaping our world, moving beyond theory and into debate, collaboration and real-world action.

Step Into Decision Making

The University Forum is a hands-on simulation of the European Parliament, giving participants the chance to experience the decision-making process from the inside.

Throughout the three-day event, participants will:

  • Join a committee focused on a pressing European or global issue.
  • Debate different perspectives and work collaboratively with other participants.
  • Develop and draft their own resolutions addressing real-world challenges.
  • Defend their ideas and negotiate with other committees.
  • Present and debate their resolutions during a high-energy General Assembly.
  • Vote on the final resolutions, experiencing the dynamics of parliamentary decision-making.

Committees are structured around real-world European Parliament portfolios, tackling some of the most critical legal, environmental and social challenges facing Europe and the wider world today.

What to Expect

From the opening ceremony to the final vote in the General Assembly, every part of the University Forum is designed to give you a hands-on experience of parliamentary debate while connecting you with a community of engaged young people.
